Murray
Darling Basin Module - Level: 12 years +
The
Murray Darling Basin is a very important region of Australia.
This module contains:
- Five
prepared projects including: MDB Getting started,
MDB Region, MDB Features, MDB Water Resources and
MDB Land Use
- Each
project has specially prepared layers for the students
to use. These layers can be used by them as they are
or they can be modified to suit their own purpose
- Detailed
activities for students for each project, to help
guide them in gaining a sound understanding of the
MDB
- The
layers contain a variety of data for the student to
work on to help them achieve a more detailed analysis
of the MDB

Intro to GIS Module - Level: 12 years +
An easy
step-by-step introduction to the main concepts of GIS.
The resource package contains:
- 11
activities, each with a prepared project ready for the students
to use
- Each
activity builds on the previous one, so the students gain
confidence in the use of GIS
- There
are five open ended projects at the end for the students
to practice their newly acquired skills in GIS
- The
dataset is based on a compact island, so that the students
get an overall view of what they are working on. One activity
deals with the overall geography of Bali using GIS
